This cartoon shows why so many breastfeeding mothers end up sharing their sleep space with their babies.
Just reading through your archives! I got a laugh out of this cartoon, but I think it’s missing a little something from the cosleeping version. Like the baby waking up, nursing, and then lying in bed awake for an hour and a half, sucking on its hand, and waking its mama up with gagging noises every 5 minutes. Or the baby thrashing around in bed, still asleep, for an hour or so, completely refusing to nurse. Or the baby insisting on nursing every 20 minutes for three hours.
Or maybe other cosleeping babies are calmer than mine!!
Your kids at night sound a lot like mine. For us co-sleeping was easier than getting up to breastfeed but it wasn’t always blissfully relaxing.
